Canoe-yacht accident: two-year-old remains in critical condition

A two-year-old girl remained in critical condition after her canoe was ran over by a yacht in Tigre last Friday.
Tatiana Mac Dougall, her mother Lorena Rojas, who died at the clash, sister and cousin were on board when a Uruguayan yatch hit the canoe they were travelling in, close to the Cuatro Bocas stream, in the Second Section of the Islas del Delta, in the Buenos Aires province.

According to Carlos Maiorano, director of Zonal General de Agudos Hospital, the two-year-old is in a “very critical condition.”

“She presents severe head trauma, breaths with the help of an artificial respirator and had to be sedated to avoid any major complication,” Maiorano explained to reporters.

Tatiana´s four-year-old sister was unharmed in the accident, while her 15-year old cousin, who was spending the day with them, sustained considerable injuries although doctors have assured that she was not in any danger.
