The DNA samples collected from the La Loma neighbourhood home in La Plata where four women were killed, reportedly don’t match those of Osvaldo Martínez, the sole suspect in the case.
Lawyer Fernando Burlando, who acts as legal counsel of Marcelo Tagliaferro, one the key witnesses in the case, confirmed the news while addressing reporters. Burlando stated that the DNA traces found in a rolling pin and knives do not match those of Martínez.
These results imply that the investigators of the crime do not discard the existence of an accomplice. The collected DNA samples will be compared to those of the victim’s relatives and neighbours.
Meanwhile, Martínez’s lawyer, Julio Beley, announced his client “hasn’t been notified of this situation” and that the final tests “will be only available on Wednesday or Thursday, as the reports aren’t finished yet.”
