Tandil’s Juan Martín del Potro, top seeded player in Argentina, climbed one point at the ATP ranking and is only a step from getting into the top ten, before the London Masters and the Copa Davis final Argentina will play against Spain on November 28 in Sevilla.
Serbian Novak Djokovic remains at the top of the ranking, while French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the sixth position after playing the final of the Paris tournament.
The “Top 5” remains unchanged, headed by Djokovic, who with-drew from Paris due to problems in his shoulder, followed by Spaniard Rafael Nadal, British Andy Murray, Swiss Roger Federer and Spaniard David Ferrer.
Tsonga, who was defeated by Federer in Paris, climbed two positions and equalized his best ranking (sixth place), which he had reached by the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009.
Serbian Janko Tipsarevic advanced from the 13 place to the ninth, reaching the Top Ten for the first time, while Spaniard Nicolás Almagro turned out to the tenth place after being two months out of ten first places.
Swedish Robin Soderling and French Gael Monfils were left out of the Top Ten. Soderling lost seven points and dropped to the thirteenth place, while Monfils lost five points to the fifteenth place.
