Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez and will reportedly make a move in the January transfer window.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger made an unsuccessful attempt to sign the Argentina international during the summer following the departure of Cesc Fabregas.
«Lucho was a player I liked,» Wenger revealed. «They would not let him go, but we weren’t far away.»
And according to Insidefutbol.com, Arsenal will return with a new offer during the winter transfer window.
The 30-year-old playmaker has not been on top form this season for Marseille and has come under criticism from fans and the media.
However, the Ligue 1 club remain reluctant to lose him and will demand a figure in the region of €15m to allow the deal to happen.
