Secretary for Public Communications Juan Manuel Abal Medina said on Friday the government is convinced that anti-government legislators will give the green light to the annual budget proposal the government submitted the Congress yesterday.
“We expect them not to do as last year’s and approve the proposal,” he remarked to Télam reporters.
“When we consider the complex context today, and observe Greece, Spain, France, all those important nations, we can only hope for the opposition to meditate on their positions,” argued Medina.
He also lashed out at the opposition that “gave themselves the luxury of leaving argentines without a budget deal last year, impairing the country’s functioning.”
“If they want to outsmart us, they have to do it better than us and not to trouble us what could potentially hurtful to Argentine population,” fired Medina.
The budget Plan for 2012 predicts a 5% economy growth and was sent to the Lower House yesterday for appreciation.
