Domestic Trade Secretary Guillermo Moreno ratified the Trade Court the lawsuit he filed against the private consultancy agency Orlando Ferreres y Asociados over the publication of indexes that lack scientific evidence, judicial sources reported.
Meanwhile, the court in which they filed a similar lawsuit against the heads of the M&S Consultores consultancy agency, Carlos Melconian and Rodolfo Santángelo, made official its decision to accept the Domestic Trade Secretariat as the plaintiff in the case.
Prosecutor Carolina Rosiglio formally accepted the lawsuit presented by Moreno against Melconian, Santángelo and Ferreres over the publication of consumer prices indexes without scientific evidence on Monday.
Rosiglio called for the Freedom and Expression Committee of the Lower House of Congress to present the published reports “over the index of the prices’ evolution.”
Also asked for the “ruling or administrative act by which it adopted the decision of making such publications.”
