‘Between CFK and Duhalde, I’d vote for her,’ Rodríguez Saá assures

Federal Commitment presidential candidate Alberto Rodríguez Saá said that if he had to choose between president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and presidential candidate Eduardo Duhalde, “I’d vote for Cristina,” while visiting Rosario.

“The press is behaving strangely because it has received a beating, it has taken charge of the opposition and told people whom to vote for and who not to vote,” the San Luis province Governor said. “They said that people had to vote for Duhalde and that the rest were useless votes and you can see what happened,” Rodríguez Saá added.

“That contradiction of facing Cristina against Duhalde, I don’t know if it led her to have more votes than expected. Because, the truth is, between Cristina and Duhalde, I vote for Cristina,” he revealed.

“Without being a socialist, there are no shantytowns in San Luis, I have an open political agenda which is superior to the Socialist Party’s. That is what I want to discuss,” he added.

However, Rodríguez Saá admitted that the fact there is a provincial Socialist government in Santa Fe “is a very interesting experience for Argentina and gives the country diversity and federalism.”

Regarding presidential contender Eduardo Duhalde, Rodríguez Saá said he is «a liar» and predicted this will be “his last election.”

“We don’t have to talk about Duhalde, we must look forward. This will be his last election,” he said.

Rodríguez Saá blasted fellow presidential candidates because “after the primaries, all of them started to say they were running to support their lawmaker candidates and not to reach the presidency. That is wrong. We are fighting and we want to make it to the runoff. Mahatma Ghandi said that virtue lies in the effort, and we are making a big effort,” he concluded.
