Prosecutor Viviana Fein confirmed that the service door of Alberto Nisman’s apartment was “locked” when his mother and the bodyguards arrived, contradicting the statements made to reporters by the locksmith -identified as Walter- that worked on the door on Sunday.
Fein explained that there was two locks on the door, and that when Nisman’s mother arrived she unlocked one of them. “When the locksmith arrives, and he did not say this, he only worked on the lock at the bottom, the upper lock had already been unlocked by Nisman’s mother,” the prosecutor detailed.
This testimony was corroborated by the prosecutor’s mother, who gave evidence today with Fein.
“The door was closed all the time,” she stated.
Yesterday, Walter raised questions on the investigation after he said that gaining entry to the apartment was simply a matter of displacing a key that had been left on the inside of the apartment’s back entrance and using a key provided by Nisman’s mother.
