Senator and UCR party head Ernesto Sanz spoke about the latest letter by president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner on AMIA prosecutor Alberto Nisman’s death. “If she thinks he was killed she needs to remove Security (Ministry) chiefs.”
“This is very serious. To move from encouraging the suicide theory to (backing) the murder (hypothesis) has to have consequences,” Sanz said in reference to the president’s latest Facebook post, where she said she was convinced that Nisman had been killed by those who “used him while he was alive and then needed him dead.”
“If they first thought that it was a suicide and now they don’t is because there is someone linked to the State who convinced them of this,” the senator stressed. He also criticised Ms. Kirchner for using social media to deliver statements on the prosecutor’s death.
The president has shifted from supporting the theory that ruled Nisman’s death as suicide, considering that his death was part of an “operation against the government.” He claimed that Nisman “was fed false information” for his complaint against the Kirchnerite administration for allegedly covering up the 1994 attack on AMIA Jewish centre
