Lousteau to lead UNEN’s ticket for Buenos Aires City elections

The Wide UNEN Front presented this afternoon its ticket to compete for the governance of Buenos Aires City in July 5 2015, choosing Martín Lousteau and Fernando Sánchez as their number one and two respectively.

The announcement took place at the Beckett Theatre of Almagro, where the Front picked Socialist Roy Cortina as its first lawmaker for BA City legislature.

Leaders from a vast variety of parties integrating the UNEN Front where present during the event, including FAU members, Civic Radical Union Emiliano Yacobitti, ARI-Civic Coalition Maximiliano Ferrato, and Mario Mazitelli for the Authentic Socialist Party.

“We want to recover the city for its citizens,” Lousteau said, and anticipated he will face “Pro party’s best candidate”.

The former minister of Economy added he would like to face Gabriela Michetti, current senator for Mauricio Macri’s party.

“It would represent a change in the country’s political culture,” Lousteau added.

On April 26 2015, candidates will participate in the PASO elections nationwide, the electoral process from which a candidate will emerge and replace President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, after eight years in office.
