The US dollar closed steady at 8.565 pesos today in Buenos Aires City foreign exchange offices and banks, after trading half a cent higher most of the day.
Meanwhile, the informal rate of the US currency, the so called «blue» dollar, lost two cents to 12.78 pesos in underground foreign exchange houses.
The blue-chip swap rate is at its lowest value since last August: it continued its downward trend and plunged 36 cents to close at 11.30 pesos.
The stock market rate traded 26 cents lower and closed at 11.51 pesos, after yesterday’s 17-cent fall.
