Merval plunges 7.2% following YPF, Petrobras drops

The Merval benchmark stock index plunged today 7.2 percent to 8,888.49 points, dragged by YPF and Petrobras shares, which fell 10.6% and 8.4% respectively.

This way, the Buenos Aires City stock market broke the 9 thousand point mark, helped also by negative fluctuations in bank shares and public bonds.

Banco Francés sinked 9.4%, followed by Banco Galicia with a 8.5% fall, while the Bonar 2017 lost 2.6% as well as the Boden 2015, which dropped 0.93%.
