Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich reiterated that the accusations that led to the judicial raids at the Hotesur company owned by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner are false and aimed at federal judge Claudio Bonadío.
The official said that although the president herself has acknowledged some irregularities in Hotesur’s affidavits, “the accusation is false” since it seeks to prove that the company “did not file the documents, which it it clearly did.”
Speaking at his daily press conference at the government house, Capitanich pointed out that Hotesur’s documents are currently being analyzed by the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ in Spanish).
The governor of Buenos Aires province Daniel Scioli in his turn questioned the “spectacularity” of the raids ordered by judge Bonadío and called for “prudence and responsibility.”
“This is a time when prudence and responsibility should prevail, specially with issues in which the president is involved,” Scioli said to reporters.
THE PRESIDENT’S TWEETS
The chief of ministers also referred to the series of tweets the head of state wrote after yesterday’s speech, in which she aimed at Federal judge Claudio Bonadío for being a shareholder of a private company which has failed to present its accounts on time.
“If judge Bonadío is a shareholder of a private company which is indeed among the 47,000 companies under evaluation from the IGJ, why didn’t he launch a raid at his own company?,” Capitanich asked ironically.
