After US Judge Thomas Griesa’s decision to deny Argentina’s stay request, the “blue” dollar went up 18 cents to close at 12.45 pesos. Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices the US dollar traded steady today at 8.18 pesos.
Grain exporters have sold off around u$s 115 millions daily in the past days, operators estimate. Last week they sold of u$s 578 millions, totalling u$s 14.9 billions this year.
In the meantime, the blue-chip swap fell back to 9.83 pesos and the stock exchange rate is also down at 11.24 pesos.
