Reutemann takes a dig at Duhalde in campaign spat

Senator Carlos Reutemann hit back at ex president Eduardo Duhalde who has questioned his “opportunistic” position in the way to the 2015 elections and accused him of “working” for the federal government by supporting the candidacy of governor of the province of Buenos Aires Daniel Scioli in next year’s run.

“Either he is gaga or he is a son of a bitch who is working for Daniel Scioli. As he knows I am supporting (Sergio) Massa he wants to dirty me,” Reutemann told reporters today.

Earlier this week, Duhalde had said the ex governor of the province of Santa Fe was an “exponent of selfishness” who “only thinks about himself” and adviced him to “retire” from the political activity.

“I am a senator till 2015 but if they promote my retirement I might maybe leave earlier,” Reutemann added targeting also Duhalde’ wife and senator Hilda “Chihe” González de Duhalde, accusing both of them of «dirying» him for his support to Renewal Front head Sergio Massa.
