In his daily press briefing, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich referred to the protest the leader of the General Workers’ Confederation Azopardo faction, Hugo Moyano, has planned for this afternoon at Plaza de Mayo. “If the protest is for security, Plaza de Mayo is not the right place,” Capitanich said and suggested union leaders should take their claims to provincial governors.
The Kirchnerite official asserted that provincial governments are responsible for security policies and that CGT leaders Hugo Moyano and Luis Barrionuevo should take their claims to Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli, Córdoba governor Juan Manuel De la Sota, Antonio Bonfatti in Santa Fe and Buenos Aires City mayor Mauricio Macri.
Capitanich also referred to criticism against the government over inflation. “Im surprised there are no criticism to businessmen or industrialists,” who he said are “harming the Argentinean people” and added: “There is never a protest against those interests”.
