Moyano: ‘Capitanich is completely wrong’

The leader of the General Workers’ Confederation Azopardo faction, Hugo Moyano, referred to Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich earlier remarks: “He says Plaza de Mayo is not the right place to protest. I think he is completely wrong,” the Teamsters Union leader said.

Opposition CGT leaders Hugo Moyano and Luis Barrionuevo are protesting this afternoon at Plaza de Mayo, in front of Government House, against insecurity. In his daily press briefing, Cabinet Chief Capitanich said this morning that they should take their claims to those in charge of security policies, that is provincial governors.

Moyano pointed out that Plaza de Mayo is the traditional set for protests. “Everyone has always gone to Plaza de Mayo to claim for justice, human rights. And now he [Capitanich] says it is not the right place. I think he is completely wrong,” he said.

Asked about Capitanich’s words in an interview with Radio Mitre, Moyano said: “Is it worthy to comment on the remarks of this Fidel Pintos who talks and talks and says nothing?,” he said, comparing Chief Cabinet to a popular Argentinean comedian who used to talk in an unintelligible way on TV in the 70s.
