CGT’s Moyano foresees strike will have high observance

moyanoThe head of the CGT opposition trade union umbrella, Hugo Moyano, today predicted Thursday’s nationwide strike will have a “60 or 70 percent observance” and tried to justify it saying “people are angry because they feel abused.”
“These topics the government is not acknowledging such as insecurity or inflation will be voiced on April 10,” he stressed.
For the teamster leader, the strike “will be very important” and he didn’t rule out the possibility of workers joining the protest even though their unions didn’t.
«We will know who is who,” he fired and criticized those unionists who considered the strike “political.”
Moyano’s CGT, along with other union leaders like Luis Barrionuevo, La Fraternidad train drivers union, UTA bus drivers, anti-govermnent CTA headed by Pablo Micheli, and Eduardo Buzzi’s Agrarian Federation will hold a nationwide strike to call for “free collective wage bargaining,” pension hikes and the exemption of wages from the income tax. They will also make a more general demand that the government tackle crime.
