Luis Barrionuevo, head of the “Azul y Blanca” Workers Central slammed the absences of political leaders and possible presidential candidates to an official meeting in Mar del Plata, province of Buenos Aires.
“If they don’t have the balls to show up, better not come”, expressed Barrionuevo, leader of the gastronomic sector, as he was accompanied by teamster Hugo Moyano.
“It is a new stage within the workers movement”, affirmed Moyano , who latter talked about a probable unification between the two centrals.
“The goal it’s to be united”, he concluded.
Expectations were high however none of the candidates decided to show up, and during the press conference that took place after the meeting, Barrionuevo considered that:
“If they want to be presidents, from our part, we wished to hear their proposals regarding the industry, inflation, external debt and the Central Bank.”
The message was intended to reach Sergio Massa, leader of the Renewal Front, and Governors Daniel Scioli from Buenos Aires province and José Manuel de la Sota from Córdoba.
