Doctors treating San Juan Governor José Luis Gioja revealed today that the politician is recovering gradually from the multiple injuries he suffered on October 11, following an helicopter crash in the town of Valle Fértil.
According to the last medical report, drains on Gioja’s torso have been removed and his respiratory condition is getting better, the governor able to breathe unaided for longer periods of time.
The official statement from the Guillermo Rawson hospital was released by Deputy Public Informer, Luis Alberto Amín.
“He is lucid and watching the ‘Encuentro’ channel on TV”, said Amín.
Medical sources explained that Gioja continues with an “uncertain prognosis”, but affirmed that “the infection was controlled and his abdominal drainages were removed”.
They assured that “he continues without fever”, but he remains hospitalised in the intensive care section of the clinic.
