The robbery at the house of Tigre Mayor Sergio Massa that came public in the past days has certainly heated up the final trail to Sunday’s PASO primaries. Massa’s wife, Malena Galmarini ran into Daniel Scioli hurling insults at the Buenos Aires province governor.
Head of the Renewal Front and his wife attended a TV news show yesterday ahead of the PASO primaries elections to be held this weekend. When leaving the studio, they met with Scioli who asked Galmarini «how she was.» “With you, like hell. How do you expect me to be, asshole?,” Galmarini was quoted to tell Scioli by reporters who witnessed the episode and wrote about it in their official Twitter accounts.
Back on Monday, Sergio Massa held a press conference to admit he had been a victim of a robbery at his home two weeks ago and to inform that the Buenos Aires police force had already arrested one person and issued an arrest warrant against other two Prefecture officers. He explained the police’s reaction was possible as a result of video cameras «strategically installed» which recorded how a man broke into Massa’s home carrying a pistol with a silencer.
The theft occurred on July 20 leading Kirchnerism to accuse the Tigre Mayor of manipulating security issues for political purposes as the PASO battle nears. When asked about the robbery spat, Governor Scioli said he found it “curious” that the video was released “so many days” after the incident took place and that it did not “come public» sooner “as such cases usually do.”
