The US dollar was unchanged today at banks and exchange offices at 5.41 (buying price) and 5.47 (selling price).
The parallel, or so-called “blue,” dollar exchange rate was traded at 8.58 pesos for buyers yesterday, due to a lower demand amif the end of winter holidays and narrowing the difference with the official dollar exchange rate.
The market was limited for the fifth business day due to alleged pressures from the government that is trying to keep the parallel market in check after it soared during the winter holidays.
