International arrest warrant issued against fugitive Jaime

JaimeA federal court of the Córdoba province has ordered the international arrest warrant for ex Transport Secretary Ricardo Jaime who remains fugitive since last week accused of evidence tampering during a police raid.

Attorney Maximiliano Harabedian had requested a Córdoba’s federal court to issue the arrest which was finally set today.

Interpol is already in possession of the judicial order with a special police squad also of the Cordoba province leading the search for missing Jaime as confirmed by police chief Ramón Frías.

The ex official during Néstor Kirchner administration also faces fraud and embezzlement charges due to alleged overpayments in government contracts.

Earlier today, Jaime’s attorney Marcelo Brito had said both cases involve “non-jailable” crimes.
