Tax collection reaches 679 B pesos in 2012, AFIP

Tax revenue reached 679 billion pesos in 2012 and increased 25.7 percent in comparison to the volume registered in 2011, the head of the AFIP revenue agency, Ricardo Echegaray, reported.

«Tax revenue exceeded the budget expectations by 12 billion pesos, even though 2012 was a very difficult year,» Echegaray assured in a press conference.

The head of the AFIP also stated that the volume reached was mainly because of the VAT record, which has climbed 31.5 percent in November.

December tax collection climbed 27.2 percent compared to the same month of 2011 and stood at 6,21 billion pesos.
