Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli announced on Monday that state workers would be receiving the second half of their mid-year bonus before August 15th. He called a press conference for 5 pm, in which he is expected to make the official announcement.
“We’re committed to paying the second half of the mid-year bonus before August 15th,” he said to UPCN unionists at noon.
The UPCN union Finance secretary, Héctor Nieves, assured that “it is is not the best situation because the bonus should be paid in a single installment, but we witnessed the grave economic situation that the entire cabinet has been working to solve since last week and they have promised to pay the second installment before August 15th.”
