The hikers were tracking around a locality known as Cajón de la Mina when they were hit by a severe storm.
Mendoza Police working along with emergency services located the fifteen hikers who had been uncounted for since last Sunday, after disappearing in the Malargue region, 70 km outside Mendoza capital.
According to local officials, the group was taking shelter in a cave, but they were found in good health by the emergency services.
The hikers were trekking around an area known as Cajón de la Mina when they were hit by a severe snow storm and took refuge in the cavern.
There were six women and a 17-year-old minor amongst the missing hikers. Previously, police informed the climber’s last communication was received on Saturday upon descending one of the peaks in the Andean mountain chain.
