President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner blasted once more the European cuts’ recipe and gave Netherlands as an example of the consequences of the cuts applied during a crisis. The Head of State referred to the resignation of the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte.
Rutte has tendered his resignation before Queen Beatrix after the negotiations of the budget cuts failed.
Fernández de Kirchner assured that Rutte’s failure was due to his intention to “cut the science and technology budget.” Besides, she highlighted “the need to be dedicated to the hard sciences” and emphasized that in Europe they pretend to keep on applying cuts, which means failure, misery and absence of social inclusion” in the nations.
The President also highlighted the support of her administration to science and technology is “along with the human rights and the growth of the social inclusion, one of the three flags” of her government, while she headed an international bioscience symposium at the Science and Technology Ministry at Godoy Cruz 2200.
