Industry Secretary Eduardo Bianchi tendered his resignation to minister Débora Giorgi on Monday afternoon. Bianchi said he was abandoning his post due to “personal reasons.”
He will be replaced by current Strategic Planning secretary Javier Rando, the Ministry informed in a statement released to the press.
At the same time, Rando’s position will be filled by the Ministry’s current cabinet chief Horacio Cepeda.
Rango is 37-years old and an Economy major who has been working alongside minister Giorgi since 2006, when she was in charge of the Buenos Aires province’s Ministry of Production.
He was Argentina’s undersecretary of Industry and head of the National Agency for Investment Development.
He was also an advisor for the Industry Ministry in all matters related to industrial policy, and investment strategy.
