Tomada, teamsters’ union fail to reach agreement, ratify Friday’s strike

After the emergency meeting at the headquarters of the Labour Ministry, the Truck Drivers union headed by Pablo Moyano rejected the mandatory conciliation and ratified Friday’s strike.
The meeting was set to discuss the current situation of the 2,300 workers of Eki supermarket chain that has recently declared bankruptcy, and the possibility to include those workers at the Productive Recovery Programme –which guarantees the workers with a monthly payment until the situation gets solved.
Nevertheless, this proposal and the mandatory conciliation issued by the ministry were rejected by the union.
Last Wednesday, Moyano’s union announced a strike to be held on Friday.
