Barrios de pie social organization was blocking 9 de Julio avenue
Members of Barrios de pie social organization lifted a roadblock on the 9 de Julio Av. after interrupting traffic for over three hours outside the headquarters of the Social Development Ministry, to claim for food they intended to give away to community soup kitchens.
The organization has warned, however, they will continue to interrupt traffic on Bernardo de Yrigoyen st. «until they hear from Social Development minister Alicia Kirchner.»
Protesters have warned they will set up camp in front of the building until they hear from the Government.
The protest caused chaos in traffic in the nearby area, in addition to the delays caused by the blockade of two lanes of 9 de Julio Avenue ahead of the TC 2000 races this weekend.
