The skies darkened in Buenos Aires giving place to heavy rains at most parts of the nations’ capital this morning. The National Weather Forecast (SMN) issued a weather alert earlier for heavy shower rains, strong winds, thunderstorms and hail in the capital city and also southeast, centre and north of the BUenos Aires Province.
According to the SMN, the estuary of the Río de la Plata river, plus Southern Córdoba, Northeastern La Pampa, Southern and centre San Luis, and Southern Santa Fe areas are also going to be affected by extreme weather.
Due to the heavy rains some streets were already flooded this morning, and service at Subway lines H and C were interrupted. Pre-Metro tram service were also temporally canceled due to rains.
