Gov’t says Macri’s decision is ‘irresponsible, incoherent’

Several National Government officials reacted to Mayor Mauricio Macri’s decision to suspend all negotiations in the transfer of the subway management and said his move was “irresponsible” and “incoherent.”
Vice-President Amado Boudou said that Macri’s announcement was “totally incoherent.”
“I am perplexed. Truly astonished. Macri has the ability to avoid responsibility and erasing what he committed himself to do 90 days ago,” Boudou stated.
Senator Aníbal Fernández also weighted in on the issue and said that Macri “offends society and the City’s autonomy.”
“Macri is keeping up with his lazy attitude. I always said he was lazy and he is showing us he doesn’t care about anything. He doesn’t care about the subways, or the people or anything, and he is showing us he doesn’t want to be in charge of the subway,” he said.
The Cabinet Chief, Juan Manuel Abal Medina said Macri was “irresponsible” after he announced that negotiations had been suspended.
“I am surprised by his level of irresponsibility. He is just looking for two or three exuses to avoid dealing with a problem,” he assured.
“This is just a marketing stunt. It’s just a speech in which he’s looking to become the victim instead of solving a problem,” he concluded.
