President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner came on stage today and called businessmen to “increase investment and productivity” in order to increase employment rate and avoid the constants goods price hikes.
Likewise, the Head of State assured that the government will guarantee investments but not the companies’ return of investments.
Then she took time to address the farming sector and advised farmers to “use profits to buy insurance policies against droughts, frosts and heils”, and added, “Such an important industry cannot keep begin God for downpours, and when it’s dry ask the government for the money lost in crops.”
Thus, the President took chance to address all economy sectors, to whom she asked to show more “previsibility.”
To end, the President aimed to unions who are asking for over 20 percent increase in the ongoing collective bargaining talks as the government has recommended not to go beyond 18 percent as part of the austerity measures triggered by Fernández de Kirchner for her second term in power.
“I’d like to ask every sector of the economy to touch ground and live in the real Argentina and not in a fantasy land. This is not Disneyland.”
