Aníbal Fernandez: ‘CFK’s reelection is not on the government’s agenda’

Fernandez was also hesitant to talk about Moyano’s remarks last week on the president’s staff. The teamster called the public employees “servile.”
Senator and former cabinet chief Aníbal Fernandez said today that a constitutional reform which could enable President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner´s reelection was only a suggestion of the opposition, adding it’s not on the “government’s agenda.”

He also refrained to comment the conflict between the government and union leader Hugo Moyano.“I will not feed this controversy. The teamster’s union has highly benefited from the government’s model which consists in permanently producing goods to supply the domestic market,” he told reporters in an interview to a local radio station.

“The sector has grown tremendously. I am not looking for confrontation, I am only giving out the positive data,” the senator stressed.

Fernandez was also hesitant to talk about Moyano’s remarks last week on the president’s staff. The teamster called public employees “servile.”

“I belong to the National Peronist Movement of which the President is the head. They are annoyed because a woman is the head of the Movement. That is not only misogynist, but chauvinistic”, said Fernandez.
