Pro-government Gastón Cogorno was made the new president of Racing club on Saturday, leading with 68.06 of the vote in the elections which took place at the club’s social headquarters.
The “Racing Continues” (“Racing Sigue” in Spanish) candidate from the list was ahead 52 points from Pablo Podestá, from the group “This Racing,” (“Este Racing” in Spanish) who gained 16.42 percent of the vote.
Further away all together, completing the list of candidates were Miguel D`Aquila, from “Grand Racingist Front” («Frente Grande Racinguista») with 12.39 percent and Daniel García from “Racing Club Group” («Agrupación Racing Club») with 2.96 percent of the vote.
The elections closed at 6 pm yesterday at the headquarters along Mitre 934, where Cogorno and Rodolfo Molina, now president and deputy for the next three years were celebrating together.
