Tierra del Fuego governor takes office

Tierra del Fuego province Governor Fabiana Ríos was today sworn in for her second term in office, in a ceremony which took place in the Ushuaia Town Sportshall where deputy governor, Roberto Crocianalli was also sworn in.

When she was being sworn in, Ríos dedicated her pledge “in the memory of the teacher Alfred Bravo,” the socialist leader who died in 2003.

Ríos was accompanied by vice-governor Roberto Crocianelli, who was Tierra del Fuego’s economy minister during her first term.

The Ríos-Crocianelli joint ticket, which belongs to the Patagonic Social party defeated Victory Front lawmaker Rosama Bertone and Martin Pérez.

Ríos was reelected in the July 3rd elections and thus closing the schedule of governor’s swearing in ceremonies.
