‘If we follow this path, we’ll end up with another resolution 125’

City Mayor Mauricio Macri.
City Mayor Mauricio Macri called for dialogue between CGT umbrella union leader Hugo Moyano and the Government and warned that “if we continue down this path, we will end up with a conflict like the one triggered by resolution 125 grain export duties.”
“I think Argentina faces big challenges and needs dialogue more than ever, needs consensus between the Government, unions and the corporate sector to find a balance to solve our problems, including the most pressing one, inflation,” Macri said.
Earlier today, while leading a rally celebrating truck driver’s day in a packed Huracán stadium, Moyano announced he resigned as the Peronist Party’s provincial leader and blasted President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ‘s administration after months of an increasingly strained relationship.
“We need to get together and lower aggression levels, because if we move down this path we will end up with a conflict like the one triggered by resolution 125 grain export duties,” Macri recalled.
Macri urged “politicians and unions to find the path of growth to eradicate poverty and exclusion. The Government should lead the way. This way isn’t working,” the Mayor added.
