La Plata massacre: new witness further complicates sole suspect

A new witness testified he saw the alleged murderer of three women and a young girl in La Plata while he talked to the man who drove the car that carried one of the women to the crime scene, a court source said.
The 30 year old man, who works as a sound operator and drove his car between 0.15 and 0.30 in the morning of Sunday November 27th, in front of the home located on 28 street in La Plata, where Susana de Bárttole, Bárbara Santos and her 11 year old daughter lived.
Per his testimony before public prosecutor Alvaro Garganta, the man was driving to an event and when he reached that street he saw a Chevrolet Corsa car with its driver inside and a man standing in the sidewalk talking to the latter.
According to the witness, in that same block another car, possibly a Fiat Duna or a Fiat uno was parked. “I couldn’t listen properly to what they were saying, but I could hear that the man standing was speaking in a loud voice,” he assured.
According to sources, the witness also said the man who spoke loudly “had a strong build, wasn’t a skinny man.”
Until now, the only witness of the alleged murderer was remise driver Marcelo Tagliaferro, who today will take part of an identity parade with the sole detainee in the case, Osvaldo Martínez.
According to Tagliaferro, as he arrived to the home to take Marisol Pereyra, the fourth victim, a man opened the door and after a few minutes told her that the woman would stay there for a while and then go home in another remise.
