Professional Turismo Carretera race driver, Guido Falschi, died today from injuries sustained in a multiple collision involving at least five cars in the Juan Manuel Fangio circuit in Southern Ba province city of Balcarce.
Ariel Bandi, TC Race Drivers Association (ACTC), Ariel Bandi, told reporters that the 22-year old driver from Las Parejas, Santa Fe province, “died after 40 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedure.”
The pilot was rushed to the Balcarce Hospital, where he fought for 40 minutes for his life but doctors could not stabilize him.
“Unfortunately nothing could be done,” said Bandi, who declined to speculate on the causes that led to the multiple crashes, which involved at least five cars, including the one of Néstor Girolami, who rammed Falaschi’s car when it was returning to the track after hitting the containment tires.
