Former Interior Minister and UCR leader Federico Storani expressed that there’s a need to “make those responsible for last Sunday’s defeat listen to the voters and willingly take a step aside.”
Storani asked for the party to “engage in profound debate,” because even though the current Government is strongly consolidated, it is imperative for democracy “to have balance and control, to have a rotation of power.”
“In order to have that, we need a system that includes strong political parties,” he explained.
The Radical leader recalled that the UCR “has history and tradition,” and assured there’s a need to “rethink a plan that is not a big departure from its historic essence, like it happened now.”
