Union for Social Development’s presidential candidate Ricardo Alfonsin acknowledged his defeat and congratulated President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for her victory in the elections.
“We want to congratulate the president,” Alfonsín stated during a press conference, and added that he will “continue working” for the Radical Party (UCR).
UDESO’s candidate assured “we are fighting the second place” with Socialist Hermes Binner and that “beyond the result, there are two million and a half people that voted us and that trusted our behaviour and proposals.”
