Radical presidential candidate Ricardo Alfonsín and Mayor Mauricio Macri once again criticized the potential motion for a constitutional amendment, which is could take place after the October presidential elections.
“We are not going to discuss anything related to a potential constitutional amendment with a party that disrespects it and offends it,” Alfonsín assured.
According to the presidential candidate, there aren’t enough guarantees in order to begin a debate. “We don’t have enough confidence in a party that, for the last eight years, all it has done is weaken the document’s spirit and writings,” he added.
Macri also charged against the National Government, expressing that “this isn’t the right time” to discuss an amendment.
“Governmental systems can’t make miracles happen, there are other priorities we need to attend to,” he assured.
“We mustn’t bet on the system to solve our problems. It’s our commitment and the quality of our leaders that will do so,” he concluded.
