Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández called to be “careful” about the many hypotheses that are being studied over the fatal train accident occurred in Flores last week, when a train swept a bus, derail and ended up crashing against another train coming in the opposite direction with a cost of 11 lives.
Thus, Fernández remarked that “it’s not healthy at all to talk about the causes of the accident yet. Moreover, if all you have are hypotheses.”
Likewise, the minister stated that “the national government’s programme to eliminate all train crossings has not stopped”, and added, “The underground works haven’t been stopped. Anyway, it’s something that was announced and promised 94 years ago, so you can hammer it down on this government. Plus we are talking about multimillionaire investments; this is not something you can do in just a few days.”
