‘We’ve always focused on promoting scientific research,’ CFK

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner inaugurated the new building for Molecular and Cellular Biology Institute, which belongs to the State-run Conicet scientific think-tank, and met with local entrepreneurs in Rosario, Santa Fe province.

After the opening ceremony, the Head of state gave a speech in company of Rosario Mayor Miguel Lifschitz, Victory Front’s Agustín Rossi, Mayor of Rafaela Omar Perotti, Industry Minister Debora Giorgi, Science and Technology Minister Lino Barañao, Domestic Trade Secretary Guillermo Moreno, and Presidential Secretary Oscar Parrilli.

Likewise, Fernández de Kirchner met with local entrepreneurs, whom will be granted with “Bicentennial loans”, credits aimed to promote the region’s industrial park and the funding for companies.

«We have always focused on promoting the scientific research in the country. Plus, we have already granted more than 5 billion pesos to industrial parks nationwide as part of the Bicentennial loans programme that contemplate loans for 8 billion pesos.»

Furthermore, the President recalled the importance of working towards increasing the exports trade surplus, and encouraged entrepreneurs to bet on the pork meat industry as it «will make a quality jump within the next few years. Pork meat consumption rates are contantly growing, and it’s definitely moving from being a «b» class product to be top one.»
