Jorge “Coqui” Capitanich governor of Chaco province has claimed victory during press conference that took place this evening at Chaco Province. The governor thanked President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for her support. “This triumph is also yours Cristina.”

It is a colossal victory for Capitanich who beats contender Roy Nikish in one of the biggest wins for the kirchnerits in the country. In the highest populated city of the Province Roque Saénz Peña estimates show Coque could reach 80% of the ballots.

Economy Minister, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s running mate for October’s presidential elections, Amado Boudou and Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo traveled to the Chaco Province to celebrate Capitanich’s victory and were present in the press conference.

During a brief speech Boudou considered Capitanich’s triumph part of government’s project started by late president Néstor Kirchner. “We feel part of a political project kicked off in 2003 by Néstor Kirchner and expanded by CFK. The next four years will serve to deepen this model of a inclusive and federal nation,” he remarked

Randazzo also rejoiced the Chaco governor victory. “ We understood in Argentina that there is no such a thing as local projects, it is all encompassed in a national and popular project,” he observed.

Capitanich also mentioned late president Néstor Kirchner. “I dedicate this triumph to a great friend of mine who lies illuminated in heaven,” said the governor.
