President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner warned that her administration will “keep on being tough if it is for Argentina’sake” regarding the implementation of non-automatic trade licenses to protect the local industry, while heading the 60th anniversary celebration of Mercedez-Benz in Argentina.
“Some ask me, why are you so tough on the Industry Minister, applying licenses over here and over there? Well, if it is for Argentina’s sake, we will keep on being tough.,” Fernández de Kirchner said, while addressing businessmen, workers in the Greater Buenos Aires district of La Matanza.
“While the financial sector is very good, our focus must be put on the industry. The financial system should give loans to businessmen to open more factories and to give more jobs to workers. Because if not, those in the financial system believe that in they are hens that can brood money. Money isn’t manufactured,” the Head of State warned.
