Duhalde files penal lawsuit against polling station authoritie

After accusing the Government of having committed computer fraud in the primary elections, presidential candidate Eduardo Duhalde filed a penal lawsuit against Buenos Aires province poll station authorities on grounds of “ideological falsehood.”

Duhalde’s campaign manager Carlos Brown confirmed the news, after the presidential candidate accused Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s administration and the company that led the temporary vote count, Indra.

“Our La Plata representative found out there have been 500 polling stations to whose authorities penal lawsuits have been filed against on charges of ideological falsehood . There are no precedents of something like this ever since democracy returned in 1983,” Brown stated.

This isn’t the first time that Duhalde has filed a complaint against the Government over an alleged fraud. On August 29th, the Popular Front’s Buenos Aires province gubernatorial candidate Eduardo Amadeo filed a complaint to the provincial Electoral Justice over alleged irregularities in the count of votes.
