Alfonsín admits ‘inconveniences’ within Santa Fe Socialist-Radical coalition

Presidential candidate Ricardo Alfonsín admitted the existence of inconveniences in the Radical and Socialist coalition that rules Santa Fe province and that is led by Hermes Binner, but said he’d rather not engage in that kind of discussions.

“We can’t deny the existence of these inconveniences, but I don’t think it will be good for us to engage in this kind of discussions.”

Thus, the Radical Party leader minimized the scandal unraveled after Santa Fe vice-Governor, Radical Griselda Tessio, accused Binner of having an hegemonic position within the coalition that enabled him to become the provincial governor.

“Although it is interesting to analyze what is going in Sana Fe province, I think that in an electoral campaign background, what society wants is for us to tell them how we will solve the problems that affect us all,” Alfonsín added.

Radical leaders including Ernesto Sanz, Griselda Tessio, lawmaker candidate Federico Pezz and Buenos Aires province Radical president Miguel Bazze criticized Binner after he said that “the 21st century belongs to socialism, and all other parties belong in the past.”
