City Gov’t assures ‘opposition agrees’ to ABL increase

City Cabinet Chief, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, assured this morning that “all opposition agrees” to the changes made to the ABL property tax, announced at a 25% increase yesterday.

According to Larreta, the increase came with the objective that “those who have more, pay more.”

The issue was addressed due to the fact that “car taxes are augmented every year whereas the ABL has stayed the same for four years straight. That is why it is time to update this tax so that it reflects current economics, and so that it can recuperate inflation,” the lawmaker explained.
