‘The UCR’s going through a crisis period that hasn’t ended yet,’ Alfonsín

Radical Party (UCR) presidential candidate, Ricardo Alfonsín, assumed all responsibility for the poor results obtained at the August 14 Primary election, and revealed that the party “is going through a crisis period that hasn’t ended yet.”

During a meeting at the party’s headquarters, located in Alsina 1786, Alfonsín considered that “We must compose the mistakes made, and try to communicate our proposals in a better way.”

Likewise the son of late President Raúl Alfonsín, ratified his alliance with business tycoon Francisco De Narváez, “He is not the kind of ones that quit before having to pay a high political cost.”

Alfonsín and his running partner, Javier González Fraga, obtained 12,17 percent of the vote; while De NArváez, who’s running for the BA province governorship, got 16 percent of the votes.
